Ream City - Cambodia’s New Mega City

Ream City is a proposed new urban development in Ream Bay in Sihanoukville Province, Cambodia. The project covers 834ha of reclaimed land in the bay, with an estimated US$16 billion in total investment. Ream City is being developed by Canopy Sands Development, a member of Prince Group (Cambodia), the business conglomerate led by Cambodia tycoon Neak Oknha Chen Zhi, and is designed by Surbana Jurong from Singapore. The masterplan for Ream City was recently unveiled, and looks set to transform the region into an exciting destination. With a beachfront stretching beyond 6 km, this large-scale development will incorporate a sustainable ecosystem of tourism, commercial, and residential activity that has the potential to house up to 130,000 residents.
